Eh?
The news about the Hogdad TV series is now official and, as David Jason is in it, it's popping up all over.

Mind you, Sarah Kennedy needs a sarky e-mail after just saying something along the lines of 'Terry's always refused to allow a film of his books, but now he's changed his mind,'

Hmm, Truckers, JatD, JatB, Soul Music, Wryd Sisters were just figments of my imaginaation were they?

Current Mood: annoyed annoyed

Hmmmm - she's right in that he's never allowed a full length feature film so far. All the ones you've listed were TV series :-)

Well technically so is this, isn't it?

I should have mentioned the Mort movie in the original entry. I thought the movie didn't appear due to the studio deciding not to proceed after buying the rights rather than Terry blocking it?

I have to admit that I can't remember. Is it possible that they had a conditional option but then couldn't/wouldn't meet Terry's criteria?

You're probably right. Mind you, I'm sure the exact details will emerge from the collective mind of afp / LJ over the next day or so. :-))

BTW, I also managed to forget that Dreamworks have the rights to the Bromiliad trilogy.

Looks like a misinterpretation of the comments reported here.

Yup, lazy journalism gets everywhere...

Looked it up on Google News, The range of accuracy was quite wide. The Indy is pretty accurate while the tabloids are somewhat less so. :-))

I was typing that just after getting up so that was zombie speak for 'the Hogfather TV series'. :-))

Sir David Jason is playing Albert and Ian Richardson ( House of Cards etc. ) will do the voice of Death. ( Apparently they are getting a 6' 7" Dutch(?) bloke to do the acting part. )

Ahh! I see.

White man speak with forked tongue...

...or possibly, I read with forked brain...

Ooh, yay, Ian Richardson.

(I don't like David Jason much. Mainly because I think Only Fools and Horses is vastly over-rated, though!)

I think Albert is more Blanco than Frost, Del Boy or Granville.

I suspect a distinct touch of Skullion may be in evidence as well
