JKR must be ill as HP7 has the same number of pages as HP6. What happened to the usual extra waffle in each new book that puts the page count up? ( I doubt she's allowed them to edit it! )

Also Asda have been told they're not getting any. Bloomsbury claim an invoice problem but Asda say it's because they made comments about the price hike for the new book.

Finally, go here, and see if you agree with me that whoever authorised the new figure should be hung up by the bit that makes the Giant famous until he admits the error of his ways. ( Given that the local Pagans are simply doing 'Rain Magic', it's one advantage of not being a Pagan that I don't have to restrict myself to peaceful thoughts! :-) ) )

I think it's funny that they're going to the trouble of performing 'rain magic' because it's not as though we're lacking in rain just now. I think they should just put their feet up and watch the film :o)

Thinks! perhaps they're trying to stop it.
Day 3, it's raining, 37 to go.

You may be on to something. Our area at least has been curiously rain-free for over 24hrs.

Shame about Asda - I was planning on getting it from there.

(Amazon are doing it reasonably, but then there's the postage and packing, and that's a big hardback there...)

The BBC is reporting that Bloomsbury and Asda are supposed to be sorting it.

Mind you, this may not be totally accurate as in the same article the journo refers to the new Harry Potter heat-resistant stamps that show secret messages when you touch them. I think they mean heat-sensitive! No real info on the Post Office site about the stamps, so I don't who got it wrong.

Mmmm, giant doughnut...

Seriously, how can the representative of the Pagan Federation* describe the giant Homer as ridiculous? A giant club-bearing twonk waving his willy about is pretty ridiculous in itself, and the fact that it's been there for ages doesn't change that.

* Does anyone else get an image of Christopher Plummer in Dragnet at that phrase?
