Forgot how few of my friends on here are football fans, so an explantion of the last entry follows. :-D
Earlier in the year Burnley were in the semi-final of the Carling Cup against Tottenham.
At the end of full time it was a draw but Burnley had scored more of their goals away from home. Normally this woould have given them the win according to the 'Away Goals' rule. However, the Carling Cup is unlike any other cup competition and the rule is applied after extra time not before it! So Tottenham actually had 30 minutes longer to score an away goal than Burnley did! As Totttenham scored twice in extra time they won, but the number of Tottenham fans who turned up on the BBC football message board saying Burnley were robbed was amazing. :-)
This time Burnley made sure. They won 1-0 at home and 2-0 at Reading giving a 3-0 aggregate score. Oh and as Reading started really well but tailed off late in the season before losing to Burnley, the Reading manager has quit!!
