Long time, no update!
There was not much going on in my life since the last update, but the last fortnight has been interesting in so many ways that I'm only just getting things straight in my head!

Thursday, 27th Nov. Took granny to Trafford Centre. Found that due to rebuilding wheelchair hire place is now in smaller unit so less chairs. So you have to book. We hadn't. Granny struggled round eventually. :-(

Friday. Drove down to Luton. Interesting part was car I was passing disappearing in a cloud of smoke as it's engine blew at 70 in lane 2 of the M1! Luckily no shunt!

Saturday. Green Man! Yay! Interesting part - talking to a young lady for 2 hours before spotting she had leather trousers on. Obviously I was being too much of a gentleman by not runnning my eyes over her figure while she was talking to me.

Sunday. Home.

Monday. 1st December. Site visit. Bedford via Brum.

Tuesday. On site. 'Fun' day.

Wednesday. Home again.

Thursday. Down to Taunton for Hogswatch event.

Friday. Over to Wincanton and Discworld Emporium. Said hi to Bernard and Isobel. Went to see Concorde at Fleet Air Arm museum. Horrible noise from car when got back to hotel. :-(

Saturday. Dived into garage to get car checked. No noise of course! Went to Hogswatch event including Sausage Supper and charity auction. Yay!

Sunday. More event.

Monday. Home again.

Today. Today has been real 'fun'. :-(

Phone call at 6-15am saying that family friend was in hospital and had taken turn for worse. Shot off to hospital with granny but by the time we arrived he'd passed away.
( he was 97, but it was still a shock as he had been OK on Sat. )

Turned out that he'd been taken in at 5pm on Monday, but they hadn't called us as while granny was given as contact his carer had visited that night and they thought she was the contact. Ho-hum.

Got into work late and of course things there went pear-shaped as well. :-(

Current Mood: pensive pensive

But glad you had fun the rest of the time!

Thanks for the kind thoughts, the funeral is Monday. :-(

On a lighter note, the stuff at work has been sorted. Great fun when a part of the system that has never worked right suddenly does after the latest power cycle! Bleeding odd or what?
